Mayor of the City of Zadar, Bozidar Kalmeta, visited the construction site of the Rector’s palace this morning together with Deputy Mayor – Zvonimir Vrancic, Heads of Administrative Departments – Grozdana Peric, Sime Erlic, Darko Kasap and his assistant Matko Segaric, accompanied by the contractors – community bidder Krekic Avangard Zadar, Inero Split and VGP Ljubljana, supervision of works – Invest inzenjering d.o.o., and finally representatives of the Conservation Department in Zadar. As it has been announced, September 30 represents termination of nearly all important works on the Palace meaning that all stakeholders complied with the terms of work defined by the contract. What is left is arranging the details, cleaning, removal of deficiencies, interior design and testing the equipment. The mayor has been informed about the arrival of the equipment next month, after which technical inspection and occupancy permit take place. Finally, EU funds co-financed by the City were all spent and justified in accordance with all defined parameters and obligations of the Contract.

Completion of works on this important cultural and historical object and putting it into operation is expected by the end of the year.
